Indian Wedding Favors Ideas

By admin | November 18, 2009

Indian weddings are filled with rich tradition. While Indian weddings do tend to differ from region to region, they all have one thing in common: they are spectacular. Vibrant, colorful, and fun-filled—these are words to describe any Indian wedding, no matter where it occurs.

If you’re planning a wedding based on Indian themes and tradition, then you probably want to give your guests wonderful favors that they’ll never forget. Fortunately, you will find that there are plenty of Indian wedding favors to choose from. Your guests are very important, so you should give them souvenirs that they will remember forever.

Regardless of your budget, the perfect wedding favor is within reach. If your budget is on the high side, you will be able to afford special personalized gifts for your guests. But even if your budget is low, you can still find deals on wonderful, unique favors.

If you want to keep things simple, you could always give your guests gifts such as place card holders, picture frames, mints, or tea bags. While these favors may seem simple and ordinary to some, they’re still very meaningful. Your guests can take the picture frames home with them and place their favorite photo inside. As far as the mints or tea bags go, everyone enjoys them! These gifts will make wonderful favors for those who have a small budget. They are affordable and simple, yet charming in their own way.

If you want to give your guests something sweet-smelling and exotic, then incense or candles will make great choices. Sandalwood incense is a popular choice in Indian culture. Sandalwood is considered to be very precious, as it gives off a sweet, unparalleled scent. You can choose from incense gift boxes, incense fans, pouch favors, and more. Candles and candle holders, of course, always make great wedding favors as well.

If the ceremony is held at a temple, church, or mosque, then you can pick a favor that reflects the religious beliefs of your family and friends. There are many small statues and figurines of important religious figures, such as Lord Ganesha, the Goddess Lakshmi, etc. Some of these souvenirs are small, hand-painted statues while others come in the form of coins. Coins with engravings of religious icons are very popular. You can give them out as wedding favors. If you have a large enough budget, you could even have the coins personalized for each guest.

Elephants are very popular in Indian cultures, so there are countless choices for elephant-themed wedding favors. There are elephant place card holders, elephant candle holders, glass elephant figurines, and so forth. Everyone loves elephants, and you can give your guests wedding favors that will remind them of how wonderful elephants are.

Indian wedding favors can be as simple as place card holders or as extravagant as glass figurines. Bright, colorful wedding favors are popular in Indian cultures as well. There is so much to choose from, and you can find the perfect Indian wedding favor that will reflect your personality and style.

Indian weddings are the best! I love that they’re not afraid to use color. I want my wedding (even though I’m not Indian and neither is my man) to be as colorful as that. Deep reds and purples. I saw some great colorful favors on http://www.gatheringguide.com/ec/party_favors_decorations.html that you might want to see, too.
