Wedding Favors that Make a Difference
Are you getting married? Do you have any idea as to what kind of wedding favors you’re going to give your guests? Your wedding is going to be very special, so your favors should be as well. It doesn’t matter who you’re going to marry, or where your wedding is going to be—your wedding day is going to be a wonderful day. You need to make sure that all of your guests share your sentiments. You can do this by giving them wedding favors that make a difference.
Your wedding favors, and the way you present them, need to symbolize your graciousness and happiness. These gifts are your way of saying “thank you” to your guests, so you’ll obviously want to give them something that reflects your thankfulness. But what?
If you don’t know where to begin, then you need to take a few things into consideration. For instance, how old are the majority of your guests going to be? If you plan on having a lot of children at your wedding, for instance, then you obviously don’t want to give out wedding favors that only adults will appreciate. If you’re going to have a lot of seniors at your wedding, then you wouldn’t want to give them gifts that are intended for 20 or 30 somethings to enjoy.
If you’re going to have a diverse crowd at your wedding, including people with many different religious backgrounds, then you wouldn’t want to give them all the same religious wedding favors. You’ll want to be sensitive to their beliefs. For that matter, you obviously won’t want to give out wedding favors that would stir any controversy. Be sensitive to your guests’ feelings.
One way that your wedding favors could make a difference, is if you personalize them. Give something unique to each of your guests. Anything can be personalized these days: photos, photo albums, paper fans, tin cans, and even cameras! Any type of gift that you can think of can be personalized. Names can be printed out, embroidered, ironed, laminated, engraved, etc. This gives you a lot of options.
You can give every single guest something that symbolizes your connection to them. This can be done by giving each guest a favor that you know they’ll enjoy, and by having it personalized with their name. Instead of giving the same, practical wedding favors that almost every other wedding couple does, you can give your guests favors that have special meaning just for them. This is how you can make your wedding different for all of your guests.
The way you present your guests with their wedding favors can be special as well. Take the time to hand each guest his or her gift. If your wedding is large and you’re afraid that you won’t the time to give out each gift individually, then have your bridesmaids and groomsmen to help. While your wedding day is YOUR big day, you can make it very enjoyable and memorable for your entire party as well. You can do this by making time for all of them. You can do this by giving out wedding favors that make a difference.
