Creative Wedding Favors Ideas
While looking for wedding favors to give out to your wedding guests, you’ve probably come across plenty of “ordinary” and “typical” favors. There are plenty of popular wedding favors, including candles, chocolate, tea lights, etc. And while they are nice, you may be interested in something more creative. Luckily, there are plenty of ideas for unique wedding favors.
One thing you can do, for instance, is to personalize wedding favors. You can even buy traditional wedding favors and then pay to have them specially personalized for all of your guests. You can order customized monograms, engravings, embroideries, and more. One creative idea is to order pillows for all the guests, and have each of their names sewn on it. Many wedding favor pillows are also made with ribbons tied around them, making them even more special.
If you have the talent and time, why not make the wedding favors yourself? There are kits available online with all the parts ready to be assembled. You can put them together and personalize them yourself. You could make beaded jewelry, baskets, or even bake cookies. All you need is a bit of talent and creativity.
Wedding favors can also be “unusual”. You may want to consider giving your guests interesting wedding favors that they’ve never thought about before. They can be: flower seeds, magnets, watches, shot glasses, magazine subscriptions, gift cards, etc. Basically, any type of gift that will stand out may be a good choice for you. Your guests will really appreciate it.
Seasonal wedding favors are also creative choices. If your wedding will have a country-western theme, why not give out wedding favors that represent cowboys or farms? You could give out personalized cowboy hats. For the child guests, you could give out horse figurines. If you get married in December, you could give out Christmas and/or Hanukkah gifts. Little glass angel figurines would be a nice choice.
Beach weddings are very popular, so if you’re going with a beach theme, why not give out wedding favors that represent beaches and the sea? You could even make the gifts yourself with the sea shells you collect. You can paint them, use them for decorations, turn them into magnets, etc. You could also give out mini lighthouse figurines, or make them yourself. Basically, any type of nautical gift would be a good idea, just as long as you’re creative with it.
Another creative idea would be to hand make little coin purses for the women guests. Coin purses are easy to make, and you can order everything you need online. Other creative arts and crafts gifts you can make include photo albums, hair bows, beaded jewelry, dolls, and more. Creative ideas for the groom’s men can be ties, antique lighters, antique chess boards, etc. There is obviously a lot to choose from.
